Galeri Kain Pantang was founded in 2015 with the vision of preserving Nusantara’s cultural heritage so that it does not fade with time while also empowering local communities.This initiative stemmed from concerns about Kain Pantang (ikat weaving), which was gradually being abandoned by the younger generation. However, in the hands of the creative artisans at Galeri Kain Pantang, this fabric is transformed into high-value handicrafts. The growth of the craft sector, particularly Kain Pantang, has now become an alternative source of livelihood for the local population.
